For those completely freaking out over fanservice and how scary it is, it isn't going to affect the game. We've gone through two games already so you should know what to expect. Two games being lenient because I didn't count Extend as a full game on its own. Remix Heart is a prequel spinoff manga. I say manga because it isn't intended for the audience outside of Japan at all, and if you ever tried purchasing the manga itself in a legal manner, you'd realize that.

For those who keep saying they read Remix Heart, how many of you actually read it, rather than looked at the art? You all keep saying the manga is completely fanservice, but it's not. It's a prequel to Calamity Trigger to show the lives of people within the Military Academy of Torifune. It goes into explanations about the Ars Magus aptitude tests and courses.

Yes, it does have a bit of fanservice, but going to the point of comparing it to a hentai or ecchi doujin is utterly stupid. For one, it's not even a doujin. Secondly, this is fairly light ecchi by Japan's standards. The designs for the females in Blazblue—along with every other game—has been fairly revealing or suggestive to begin with, Tsubaki aside. Yes, there was a bit of nudity in the first chapter. The first time was to explain the methods of the Ars Magus test; you don't undergo a full physical with clothes on. The second was to lead into the protagonist having a very boy-like reaction (dizziness, blood rushing to head) to seeing girls naked. It was pretty cliche, if anything.

This also leads into cultural differences. First off, the fighting portion of Blazblue has very little fanservice whatsoever. The only fanservice in the actual game, however small amounts of it, is in the visual novel portion. You say fanservice ruins it reputation, but you realize there's a cat girl constantly showing off her underwear, judging every girl (and Bang) by their breast size, even nicknaming them terms like Boobie Lady. When you first went through the scene, did you think "oh no, that's fanservice!"? No, you thought that it was pretty funny, if not at least amusing. That's how things like this roll in Japan that you're freaking out over.

And regarding the protagonist being a boy, it's a narration on the last page in the manga. No one knows she's a he and they give no explanation behind it.

I'm keeping out of this because it's gotten dumb and repetitive, however because some people are taking it as SERIOUS BUSINESS I'd just like to remind people to be civil and not insult people or say something they might regret.
