I actually completely agree with you, Davina. The only reason I appear to be one-sided is because no one's really taking the side I am (plenty on the other, you see), and as you saw from my welcome here, they don't want me to. Even the admin was against it, sadly. Yes, too much fanservice can be a bad thing, that's fine and all. There's nothing wrong disliking something for having elements you don't enjoy. I personally view the addition of fanservice as trying to apply itself to a broader, less attentive audience, but not overall as a negative. Remix Heart, as of chapter 1, does indeed have more fanservice than Blazblue seemingly does. However, there's also much less content than Blazblue. I personally haven't seen enough to form a proper opinion on it, so I can only discuss what I've seen. I usually base a manga after the first few chapters, if not few volumes depending on its pacing or length.

Now for the other side. Honestly, I don't think it has all that much fanservice in general, unless you view having larger breasts as fanservice. It mostly just set up the generic school setting common in Japan's entertainment media and mixed in some also generic occurrences popular in said settling. The chapter WAS mostly about how Mai has a strange taste phenomenon and explaining it (which is also why she can eat Noel's cooking without dropping dead). I can provide page-by-page examples on what I mean if I need to.

And for the record, I've read the thread — twice. You say people who are trying to defend it haven't the read the thread, but as I'm pretty much the only trying to do that without the simple argument of "I like it"—which doesn't show if they read the thread or not—that's a pretty low shot at me.

My arguments can easily be described as "opinion" and dismissed, though. I honestly don't think there's any hope for this thread for actual discussion about the thread's own topic. Try I must.

And TM, what you're basically saying to me is 'I don't like it and you shouldn't either, so stop talking about it'. I'd be appreciative if you stopped the immature remarks, or at least worded them better.

I might just like this Zalugar person.

It is just simply irritating that someone brought up fanservice in this and everyone instantly labeled it a pile of crap.

Makes me wish I lived in Japan. I love America but hate our western values (the trivial stuff at least)

Nice baseless assumption about my posts.

Never anywhere did I tell people they shouldn't like it or to not talk about it. It's pretty immature to make up stuff to try and help your argument.

Let's see, you called me idiot while ignoring any new points I made, you claimed I made the exact same points and claimed I haven't read the thread when I've taken and expanded on old points and added new ones while dismissing me as a shit-poster. You claim you're debating how you want the "fap material" toned down against horny people when that isn't the point. It's not baseless when you ignore the entire post, with one segment dedicated to answering one of your old posts. And debate does not mean argue, by the way.

And in your most recent post, you still haven't addressed any issue except trying to defend your ego. Look, I don't care about your opinion of fanservice or how you want me to view you. If you actually want to discuss Blazblue or Remix Heart though, I'll be happy to discuss it with you. By ignoring my points and calling me an idiot, you're implying that I shouldn't talk about it with the reason of "been there, done that" when anyone else has yet to discuss the real content of the manga aside from being misinformed about the revelation of the protagonist being a male.

But once again, I'm here to discuss Blazblue or Remix Heart, not argue over opinions that won't change, something this discussion has been failing to do.

So yeah, baseless and completely wrong, just like I said ^.^

You know, if you actually tried to discuss the manga before rather then joining a forum to yell at people, you might have got what you wanted instead you jump in and start shouting the odds. Really crappy first impression.

If your intention was to discuss the manga, you failed horribly. You're no better then the people you're trying to bitch about who aren't discussing the manga itself.

You should actually start some discussion about the manga if you want it rather then bitch about the lack thereof, write up a summary of what happens since you understand it or something.

I already know it's pointless talking to you since you're autistic, but you did bring up a point. I'll combine the summary I spread out throughout my posts here without posting anything new from I already said without actual discussion continuing, as I was always tying in tidbits of information of it.

At the start of the manga, Mai and the other undergo a version of the Ars Magus aptitude test within the 15th Hierarchical City, Torifune. The majority of the manga is discussing Mai's unique sense of taste, which allows her to eat Noel's Astral Finish cooking. It ends with a passing comment that Mai is actually a male without explaining it whatsoever.

Sounds like nothing happening to me. By the way, how long is this manga supposed to be anyway? Anybody know? So far it seems like a waste of paper to me.

Yeah, it's a complete waste of paper and just as every bit as worthless as we thought.

Thanks for clarifying that Zalugar, I just wanted to give you a chance to explain why it has any plot importance to confirm just how worthless it is and how it's only there for fan service.

And this is just my take on it.

Of course it has a chance to improve with future issues but right now it offers nothing of worth to BB's story.

.:TM:., stop replying to Zalugar. Now, this is boiling over into almost an argument.

Zalugar, do not EVER throw "autistic" around as an insult. Do it again and I'll warn you.

Now both of you chill. Just... discuss without getting so heated... okay.

Huuuuuuh. Well, that explains a lot. I tried reading the manga but my limited Japanese meant I could read little but the name, but that makes a lot of things make sense. I assume the whole male thing will be explain in the next issue.

I expect the manga to explain the happenings of the Military Academy and what they generally do there, as the Ars Magus test explanation was a nice-to-know thing in my opinion. There's been no announcement on the actual length, but spinoffs usually span 1–2 volumes, which at 30–40 pages per chapter can roughly be 5–7 chapters per volume. Then again, they might continue it longer as other spinoffs have taken off pretty well before. It's on digital distribution and its given me no reason not to read it, personally.

And for the insult of autistic, I wasn't using it as an insult; I just have no more polite word for autistic (the act of focusing on yourself and ignoring others).
